An overindulgent 2023 ended with frequent words such as "fat daddy" echoing throughout the Cloutman household. 

A few days late to the party (4th Jan) I blew the dust off my running shoes, embraced the winter weather and started running a few laps of Christchurch with the simple goal of shredding a couple of pounds. 

Week 7 and 10kg lighter, a new goal on the Horizon is the Bournemouth Bay half marathon on Sunday 24th March. 

Having never run such a thing, this goal is terrifying but something that I would love to achieve. My biggest run yet is 13km so the final 4 weeks of preparation are going to be challenging. 

A recent trip to London and the sadness on my 9 year old Sons face as he watches the homeless in the streets led me to begin fundraising for "Helping Homeless Veterans UK".
