Story
Dear Friends,
I have decided to mark my retirement from Rethink by cycling Cuba in February 2007, to raise funds for the organisation. Having worked for Rethink for over 19 years, I feel as passionate about the plight of people with mental health problems today, as I did all the years ago.
During the 70's the health service discharged patients from 19th century institutions often straight into 20th century poverty, and whilst things have improved, there are still far too many horror stories of individuals being neglected and families being abandoned.
For me Rethink has been one of the most influential organisations in helping to change attitudes and enlightening government. I hope to raise funds to enable Rethink to continue its fantastic work – I hope to raise £25,000!
I would like to thank you for visiting my fundraising page and for your support.
Many Thanks,
Terry
