Story
On the 13th April 2008 the three of us are attempting our first London Marathon. Luckily enough we have managed to obtain unconditional entries so we have decided to try and raise as much money as possible for a cause that is very close to our hearts. Needless to say this is where you come in.
Iain Rennie Hospice At Home
IRHH is a registered charity providing palliative care for terminally ill patients in their own homes within the Chilterns area of Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire. The Iain Rennie nurses assess the amount of care needed and work closely with the family, district nurses and other members of the Primary Health Care Team to visit and care for their patients. The primary aim of all Iain Rennie nurses is to provide a dignified and pain-free life for as long as possible.
In 2003, Ian Player passed away having suffered from a brain tumour. The Iain Rennie nurses were enormously supportive to Ian and the family throughout the whole period of this illness and we would like to ensure that other families receive the huge benefit of their care. To say they are "angels" is not overplaying their significance.
How to Contribute?
This couldn't be easier. Simply create an account with Just Giving and donate, quickly and totally securely using your debit or credit card. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Iain Rennie Hospice At Home will receive your money quickly and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you. Alternatively you can send a cheque made payable to any of us so that we may cash it and pass it onto the charity.
