Welcome to our fundraising page.

We hope to raise money for two charities by driving a 20 year old Peugeot 505 over 5000 miles across the Sahara desert to Timbuktu in Mali.  The Boneyard Boys,  Hawk pilot "James the navigator" Harris, and infamous local photographer "Mark fixit Broadwith" will set out on 8th January 2009 with three weeks to complete the journey in our £95 chariot.  Follow our progress in Group 6 of the Timbuktu challenge at www.plymouth-dakar.co.uk

We have provided the car and will make the trip without help or support, and provided we escape the clutches of the desert, the Rotary Club will auction the car in Bamako and put the funds towards developing clean water sources for villages in Mali.

The proceeds of your sponsorship will go to "Help for Heroes" www.helpforheroes.org.uk - a non political charity that supports our wounded servicemen and women.
