Story
Dear All,
As some of you will know our good friend Hiten Chauhan was found to have a dicky ticker and has been under the weather.
So, (And I suggest you sit down before reading the next bit) some of his nearest and dearest are getting together to do the St Albans 5k Fun Run.
I do understand this news has come as a bit of a shock, as Hiten's nearest and dearest can usually be found propping up the nearest bar watching the football, on any given Sunday.
Taking part in this minor miracle are the following:
1. The main man, Mr Hiten Chauhan, himslef 2 Mrs Seema Chauhan, 3) Anjali Chadha, 4) Nicholas Dua, 5) Claire Thackeray, 6) Mark Langford, 7) Justine Langford, 8) Mark 'Bruce' Hearne, 9) Eve Hearne, 10) Nigel Saldanha, 11) Emma Saldanha, 12) Andrew Stanley. 13) Gavin O'day (other wayward friends to be confirmed)
By donating money we, The Booze Crew, hereby undertake the following promise.
1) To turn up
2) To turn up on time
3) To turn up sober and not hung-over
4) To complete the distance without cheating of any kind.
5) Anjali promises not to turn up in inappropriate, yet fashionable heels and spend the day flirting with any fit sporty types.
6) Bruce promises not to turn up in inappropriate, yet fashionable heels and spend the day flirting with any fit sporty types.
7) It has been explained to Hiten and Nigel that they must take part in the grown up event. The kiddies fun run doesn't count.
8) Eve, Claire and Anjali promise not to cry off halfway through to go check if the local 'New Look' is any good.
9) Nick, Stan, Gavin , Langford - In fact all the guys, promise that if we come across a children's play area in the park, that they must not run in, shoo the kiddies away and spend the afternoon playing 'who can come down the slide on their belly in the fastest time possible'
10) Emma, Seema and Justine understand that this is a fun run and not a pub crawl, just because we may pass a few drinking establishments, does not mean they have to stop and sample the vino. there are many other ways they can support the local economy.
