Hi and thank you for visiting our page for Dexter.
This Christmas we would love to raise some more money on Dexter's behalf for the wonderful people at Derian House. We know times are tough but if you could spare even a few pounds it will all add up to make a difference.
On September 12, 2007, Chris and I welcomed our son, Dexter William Robinson, to the world. The day after he was born Dexter was diagnosed with a very rare genetic condition called Zellweger Syndrome. We were told that he would not survive past 6 months of age.
A week later we took our beautiful baby boy home and set about giving him enough love for a lifetime. We were introduced to the wonderful Derian House Childrens Hospice and we immediately amazed with how helpful and caring everyone was.
At the tender age of 4 weeks and 3 days old, Dexter died peacefully in our arms at Derian House. The staff ensured that the following days were made that little bit easier by their incredible support. We want everyone to know what a vital role a place like Derian plays in the lives of parents with terminally ill children. We honestly dont know what we would have done without them.
Thanks to everyone who takes the time to read our story, and thank you to our wonderful friends and family who have given so much already.
We have had a great head start from a charity night held at Cafe Artisan last Sunday! Thanks to everyone involved!
Much love and many thanks.
