Story

The Gurkha Museum Trailwalker Team consisting of The Curator, Gavin Edgerley - Harris and staff members Eli Dawson and Mekh Rana and volunteer Bal Tamang, walked100km (60 miles) on 25th - 26th July. There was a support team of our Shop Manager, Laxmi Gurung and three volunteers, Alan, Jackie and Adrienne.

The aim was to do this in under 30 hours, walking through the night and is equal to walking 2.5 marathons. The final time was 25hrs 18mins.

We were undertaking this challenge to raise much needed funds for The Gurkha Welfare Trust (www.gwt.org.uk) and for Oxfam's work in Nepal.

Thank you for sponsoring us and helping us to reach a magnificent total of £2,505.
