The Thames Valley & Chiltern Air Ambulance trust provides a life saving service for the three counties, Berkshire, Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire. The Trust is a charity which receives no funding from the government, NHS or National Lottery to meet its £1.7m annual running costs

Thanks for visiting The Mighty Bodge's fundraising page.

The Mighty Bodge Team made it all the way!! The car was well behaved except for the driver's window breaking after a mile and not being able to lower it, which then made driving through the south of France and Italy a lot warmer.

Thank You to everyone who has helped us raise money for the charity, and for those who still haven't given anything you still can!

The Mighty Bodge Team consists of Michael Davy, Ashley Kelly, Paul Snape and Tim Chappel. On the 26th September 2008 we will be taking part in the Home2Rome Banger Rally, where the basic idea is to buy a car for £100 or less and drive it from Calais to Rome, completing numerous tasks over 4 days. The length of the journey will be a very good test for our £100 VW Passat, as not only will we be driving to Rome, we will also be aiming to drive the car home again! This journey should see the car taking us over 3,200 miles in 10 days. The car will be (quite loosely!) themed as the 'Batmobile'.

We have chosen the Thames Valley and Chiltern Air Ambulance as the charity we wish to support. We have chosen this charity as one of our very close friends has benefited from this charity's excellent work following a car accident. This charity does not receive any funding from the government or NHS, and is a service that any one us may need in the future.
