This summer Max Harries and Tom Good are taking part in the Mongol Rally, a charity rally with no real rules other than the one which stipulates that the cars must be entirely unsuitable for the task. The task being drive from Goodwood, England to Ulan Bator, Mongolia by any route, with zero support from the events organizers.
Of course we decided that driving 10,000 miles over the steppes and across the Gobi desert wasn't quite enough to fill one summer, so we've decided to drive back too.
20,000 miles, in a 1.3ltr Skoda Favorit is no mean feat.
Last year, the Mongol Rally raised over £200,000 for charity, and we hope to improve on that total this year. Our charity of choice is the Christina Noble Children's Foundation, which is dedicated to serving children in need of emergency and long-term medical care, nutritional rehabilitation, educational opportunities, vocational training, job placement and the protection of children at risk of economic and sexual exploitation. A worthy cause, as I'm sure you'll agree
