Why do this run?

Sounded a good idea at the time but now the reality has kicked in, people have started to tell me that people die on this run...

Seriously though I have 3 reasons as why I have decided to this...

1) Always fancied doing something adventurous, having the London Marathon in mind... but after some serious thought... I realised to cut down the distance a bit, so Great North Run seemed a damn good idea.

2) Always going through fads to lose a bit of weight... but as usual after 2 months pass by and it goes to pot... well that Chinese or Indian seems better than eating rabbit food. So with a goal in mind I know I NEED to lose some weight and get fit...

3) the most important reason - My Nan was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s last year, though we believe she had the illness for quite a while.  Unfortunately she passed away early this year, and I am doing this run for her.

So please sponsor me to do this achievement of losing weight which will be a 7 month task, complete 1/2 a marathon, and also help support the Alzheimer's Society who provide support for people who have the illness and their families and more importantly they do research to help prevent or cure this illness.

Sponsored Walk

Between myself and Francesca, we have organised a sponsored walk around Telford which will last 13 miles, and we will end up at Telford United ground, where Telford will be playing at home against Alfreton.  So any donations at this event will be gratefully recieved.
