Thanks for taking the time to visit the Thermo Fisher Flyers fundraising web site.

The Thermo Fisher Flyers are formed from a core of Thermo Fisher Scientific employees. We cycle for fun and to keep fit and to keep traffic off the roads - hence helping to make the world a healthier, cleaner and safer place! But most importantly we cycle to raise money to help offer real hope to cancer patients everywhere, both now and in the future. Over the last few years we've raised considerable sums, and we intend to add to that total in 2011.

This year we've connected with our colleagues from around the world and our numbers have swelled to nearly 40 spread across three continents. We will all be meeting up the weekend of April 29 and our challenge is to cycle ‘The Coast to Coast’, more than 140 miles from one side of the UK to the other. If the distance wasn't enough there are some fearsome hills to conquer along the way. But we hope by conquering those hills we'll be moving one step closer to conquering cancer.

We are all raising money for various cancer related charities. Through this particular site you can sponsor us and help us raise money for Christie's hospital.

As one of Europe’s leading cancer centres Christie's treat over 40,000 patients a year. They are also an international leader in research, with world first breakthroughs for over 100 years. In addition they run one of the largest early clinical trial units in Europe with more than 300 trials every year.
