Story
Asalaamu Alaikum/Hello to all my family and friends!!
Firstly I will take this opportunity to thank you for visiting my page and for making the intention to donate :D. Secondly I welcome you to the epic campaign that is The Seekers' Quest!!
The idea of a series of challenges throughout the year to test our physical limits was thought up by a very dedicated fellow volunteer and brother of mine a few months ago. From that single idea and months of delibiration we have now evolved into this unique campaign designed not only to push boundaries physically but to also help improve our well being mentally, emotionally and spiritually aswell. The ultimate aim is to worship Allah and to work towards ONE united Ummah insha'Allah. This will be done through regular reading, study and memorisation of Quran, goal-based physical activity (e.g. challenges like cycling London to Paris) and keeping good company with those who remind us to enjoin good and forbid evil.
“Indeed, Allah will not change the condition of a people until they change what is in themselves.” [Ar-Rad:11]
With this in mind I will be taking part in a series of gruelling challanges and holding various events throughout the year all to raise money for two very worthy causes, Islamic Help's Orphan Hifz programme in Gaza and Ebrahim College's Musab ibn Umair Fund for talented students in London. Through these two programmes we could help to produce the next generation of Scholars for the Ummah and also increase our own Sadaqah Jariyah!
“When a man passes away, his good deeds will also come to an end except for three: Sadaqah Jariyah (ceaseless charity); a knowledge which is beneficial, or a virtuous descendant who prays for him (for the deceased)” Narrated by Abu Hurairah, Sahih Muslim
