Story
Tom Knowles, Alex Huntley and James Marsden are on a mission.
On 18th December 2010, the week before what is arguably the toughest time of the year for our troops abroad and their families, we'll be attempting to run the length of Hadrian's Wall... all 84 miles of it. The wall runs from the west coast of England at Bowness-on-Solway to Wallsend on the east, across country.
What are we freezing our nuts off for?
We'll be running in aid of ABF The Soldiers' Charity which supports both serving ...soldiers and veterans offering medical and financial support for life. The work ABF do is crucial in supporting our troops at home so please donate as much as you can:
A few facts and figures:
The average time to go the length of the wall is a week.
The average temperature in England in December is 4.4°C.
The weather tends to be rather miserable.
A marathon is 26.2 miles - which means we're trying to do 3.2 marathons in 2 days.
We have one month to go from running 4 milers to 42 milers.
