Story

First of all, thankyou very much for visiting our fundraising page.

This page has been set up in order to raise both awareness and much needed funding for the Motor Neurone Disease Association, which gives help and support to people with MND, and their families.

We first became aware of the charity when Amy's dad, Ian Senior, was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease. It's a shocking disease with progression that can only be slowed by months with some treatments: there is currently no cure.

The five of us aim to raise money to support on-going research, and also to help the MNDA to support people like Ian. The charity paid for him to have an iPhone with software allowing him to speak to people around him, aswell as on the phone, as MND has made it extremely difficult for him to speak. If we can help the MNDA to help others in the same way, then that will be amazing.

We will brave the three tallest mountains in England, Scotland and Wales: Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon, both climbing them and travelling between them over a continuous 24 hour period. Anything you can give to help such a good cause will be appreciated so much: you really will be helping to change lives around the UK.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - we raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please give whatever you can now :)
