On Thursday 29th July, Alan, Anna, Chris, Dan, Ed, Jeremy, Lyndsay, Mark, Sam, Simon and Will are attempting to climb each of the highest mountains in Scotland (Ben Nevis), England (Scafell Pike) and Wales (Snowdon) within 24 hours. It's hard. So that's why we'd be delighted if we could raise some money for our chosen charity - the British Kidney Patients Association.

Alan's brother John has suffered for a number of years with kidney failures, and has relied on dialysis during that time. He has had two kidney transplants, the most recent just a few weeks ago. In the UK, the average cost of dialysis is £30,000 per patient per year.

The BKPA provide financial support to patients and their families who struggle to pay for such simple things as domestic bills and hospital travel. It also helps fund kidney units around Britain, to improve patient care. The BKPA has made a substantial difference to the lives of John and his family, so it means a great deal to them that we have chosen the charity to support with our challenge.
