Story
Ten years ago...
Some foolish friend gave me an invite to join the livejournal community. I created my very own little corner of cyberspace: The Pooh at House Corner. All was fairly quiet on the western front (especially as I wasn't writing cowboy stories). Until that fateful day...
Six years ago...
...I raised ~£350 in sponsorship for writing a blog entry every half hour for twenty four hours! A blog was set up, hosted on a friend's now defunct webspace and later transferred to a permanent home: Baggins' World where I would update it semi-frequently. Time passed.
Now!
To mark my decade of blogging, I'll be repeating the Blogathon Challenge. This April, beginning at ten o'clock on the morning of Tuesday the ninth and, with a view to raising as much money as possible for Mind to help with their work with mental illness, I will be writing and posting an entry every half hour for twenty four hours.
As with the original Blogathon, I'll be seeking sponsorship for the feat of endurance itself and for individual posts - for the modest fee of a fiver, supporters will be able to choose the subject I write on for one half hour slot.
By all means, please have a look at the old Just Giving Page but above all, please donate and demand (with or without menaces) that I write about your pet subject in an authoritative and convincing manner.
