We provide vital care to patients with life-limiting illnesses.

Story

As many of you know, my wife Sarah died of cancer in June last year. During the last few months of her life we received treatment, care and support from the team at St Catherine's.

Although this was an immensely trying and difficult time, we were both overwhelmed by the understanding and compassion of all at St Catherine's. Not only were they able to make the suffering as bearable as possible under the circumstances,  but there were times in which we were able to share some genuine happiness. It is impossible to put a value on this.

St Catherine's is entirely funded by donations and I would like to do something to help repay St Catherine's for the support given to Sarah, me and the entire family, support which continues to this day.

As a result, I have decided to run the London marathon for the first (and only) time. Those who have run with me previously and have compared it to taking a reluctant dog for a walk will know that this is not something I am undertaking lightly.

I hope you will do what you can to sponsor me and to help me raise as much as I can for St Catherine's.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: St Catherine's Hospice will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor me now!

Many thanks for your support.
