"Do you fancy doing a Marathon Row - on a Concept2 rower?" said Andy when I called in to see him and his family.

I said "Yep - can't be too difficult"

I'd like to think that my rapid reponse was due to me instantly recognising the fact I had found the next physical challenge that would keep my body at its normal height of physical perfection, although it may have more to do with the 6 bottles of Cider I had downed in the preceeding 90 minutes..............

Either way Andy has "kindly" booked a seat for me at his Gym on 20th December for a 42,000 metre row.

A Marathon row can be completed in 3 to 3 hours 15 minutes by anyone who can put in a fairly rapid 2000 metre time...............

This is actually going to be pretty tough and I've been training 5 days a week as I'd love to put in a good time and, lets be honest, whip Andy's butt for having roped me in to this whilst I was slightly off guard
