Hi!
Remember the Romanian orphans of the eighties? Well they are grown up now and a building called The Arc has been built to provide a home for those young people leaving institutional care with learning difficulties to enable them to adjust to independent living. The charity responsible for helping these orphans to get on their feet is called the Epiphany Trust and they are so close to getting a second Arc up and running, they just need those last few pennies to get it finished (OK a bit more than a few pennies but it's a "coined" phrase...).
This is where we come in, this Summer we're fundraising so that a small group of us can go out there and finish off the building work! Here are some ways you could help:
- Donate through this site
- Join (or just view) our
Facebook Group for more information, photos of the Arc buildings, the orphans and also to contribute fundraising ideas to us (and win prizes for your ideas!)
- Visit the
Epiphany website: you can directly donate through this site as well, like I did before I set up this page (oops!)
- Come with us!
E-mail Sarah for more information (date of the trip TBC: I had to put a date on the site so I just put 1st Dec.)
- Donate anything else you have that we could take (or have sent) out there: electrics, paint, plumbing, furniture, kitchen appliances, bedding, utensils, crockery etc.
Thank you so much for helping us!!!
Tom
