I will be running in the 2010 Brighton Marathon on behalf of the Alzheimer's Society.  Having witnessed 1st hand what a truely cruel and dreadful condition Alzheimer's is, I can think of no charity more deserving.  I'm dedicating this race to my late Grandmother and to the rest of my family who have been touched by her terrible condition.

I'm also trying to turn my lifestyle around, and  through training I have felt myself getting fitter and healthier.  I want to run a marathon so that I can not only raise money for a very worthy cause, but also to prove that a fat, chain-smoking layabout can turn it all around and do something amazing!
