With some of my university cricket chums I have decided to take on the grueling challenge of running the Athen Classic Marathon in November 2013.

Training is underway and five months from now I will be running for a great charity - The Association for International Cancer Research. 

Cancer has influenced my family massively in recent years. I have had cousins, aunties, uncles and grandparents who's lives have all been massively effected by cancer, and so I will be running in their honour; hoping that the money raised can aid in developing cancer research.

My training will see me battle through the unforgiving conditions of the Great British 'Summer', which should hopefully make me set for Athens in November. Of course, the temptation to eat junk and booze heavy will be a tough one to resist (especially during freshers week) but this marathon is a challenge that I am fully committed to and cannot wait to take on. Therefore I will do everything in my power to help myself acheive my target of sub 4 hours. Progress etc. will be updated regularly.
