I, together with a couple of my mad car enthusiast friends, am shortly going to embark upon a journey across the continent as part of a Charity Banger Rally.

We have purchased a rather out dated, 1994 Honda Accord Coupe for around £250 and are currently adorning it with numerous decorations. The rules of the rally state nobody is permitted to exceed the £250 limit for purchasing a car and the car should be decorated and themed accordingly. The theme of our team is the late and great Tommy Cooper, the idea came "just like that" when we saw it was a "Coupe" so our car will be affixed with a specially fabricated fez hat, vinyl suit and bow tie. Obviously anyone driving the Tommy Coupe should be dressed appropriately with bow tie suit and an acceptable dickie bow!!

The aim of the rally is to get to Prague in a Gumball style race visiting 7 countries in 7 days, which works out at about a 2000 mile journey with stop offs for a lap around the Nurburgring and a visit to the Ferrari museum amongst others.
