Story

Yes, I know the picture isn't me, but more on that later.  On 2nd November I'll be running the New York City Marathon again.  I'm running with my great friends Raj Kalia and Ady Delaney, and training has gone well, so there's a decent chance of me improving on my unspectacular PB.

The picture above is my daughter Lila and her best friend Sadie.  Earlier this year Sadie died of a rare genetic condition called Alpers Disease.  I'll be running in New York for Derian House, the hospice that cared for Sadie through her illness and which continues to offer support and guidance to her parents after her death.

Derian House does truly remarkable work, but receives less than 2% of its funding from official sources.  This means that the hospice is open for 365 days a year but receives statutory funding for just 4.  Any help you could give would be hugely appreciated.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It's also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Derian House Childrens Hospice gets your money faster and, if you're a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

Many thanks for your support.
