Well I did it ... a finish time of 4 hours 34 minutes (I was aiming for 4:30 - so well pleased given the heat ... it was 20 degrees) - and I ran all the way!  I came 14,893 out of 35,747 and apparently 1,107th for my age (I was in the 50-55 bucket - but no idea how many were in that category - I hope there were more than 1,107).  The main thing is I ran for Christie's - one of 49 running on the day for them.  I had a check-up in the child oncology unit just a week and a half ago and it really is sobering to see young children going through chemo and radiotherapy.  Christie's lost £6m in the Icelandic banking crash - and fundrasing is very important to them.  And thanks to all your generosity I've raised more than £2,000 --- a HUGE thank you to all of you - it really did spur me on.
