Story
At the end of last year my brother Jamie was diagnosed with leukaemia. This disease continues to affect hundreds of children’s and adult’s lives each year. And the money raised by this project will fund more research into leukaemia, and help develop more efficient ways of curing this disease. The project is aimed to research into Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia (ALL) which is specifically what Jamie was diagnosed with.
In order to raise this money 25 teams are attempting to complete 53 ski lifts in one day, which will be an incredible feat. This is the equivalent of descending 15,000 metres in one day! Or around about the length of 2 Mount Everest’s. All this will occur in Méribel Vallée which is one of the biggest ski areas in Europe. To complete this event I must average 1 ski lift every 9 minutes.
If we are to be allowed to enter this event we must raise a minimum of £1000 so I would really appreciate your generous support, so that we can help cure this dreadful disease.
This will all happen on Saturday 29th March 2008 so please can you return any sponsorships as soon as possible. All the money Dad and I raise will go directly to the oncology department (child cancer) specialist ward at the John Radcliffe hospital where Jamie is currently undergoing treatment and who have looked after him so well.
Please sponser me for this very worthwhile and good cause.

P.S. We have completed the challenge with 25 minutes to spare, the weather was great which provided perfect skiing conditions. Thanks soo much for your support as you can see we have reached our target above. From Tom
