Story

Well we have all done it and everybody completed it in there own way a massive achievement.

Anybody who says it's easy has never done it.

I will put a few memories of the event and a web link for pictures on this page shortly.

If anybody wants to upload pictures email me at iansmith@hillprint.co.uk and i will give you logins and passwords to upload your own (doing this for security reasons so nothing unsavoury can be posted) Sean's Naked cycling does not count.

Remember we can still take your donations so don't be shy.

According to C2C website we have already raised the most amount of money for any charity and we want to be able to make sure nobody beats it again!!

Well it's only days away and hopefully everybody is fully fit and ready to go! We know this is not true so there will be some very tired people on Sunday  so your support will be worth it and almost certainly help drive us on!

Special thanks go to Darke Cycles for all their help and support, thanks Peter. Also, Creative Management Service for fluid and food assistant on this ride - we will need it.

The figure you see on this site excludes all the monies pledged on individual sponsorship forms so we hope to have those uploaded next week.

Darren at Tribeca, you have been a star and your customers deserve a massive thank you

To everybody that has sponsored any of the riders we thank you immensly for giving us the reason to do this.

Well, the training has finished and all we have to look forward to is a very sore A*%@!!

Thankyou for visiting this page and generously sponsoring all involved in support of Leukaemia Research, Ward E55 Sunderland Royal Hospital and dedicated to the memory of Tracy Crawford.

This all started with six guys talking about how strong Tracy had been throughout her treatment and how great it would be if we could raise some money ourselves to support the cause which helped throughout the most difficult of times.

Many drinks and some terrible ideas later we had decided on the Coast to Coast.

Six quickly turned to sixteen and we closed the subscription at 30.

The support to date has been brilliant with several companies willing to donate transport etc so thanks to all for their help.

The riders you are sponsoring are as follows:-

David Crawford, Peter McKenzie(Snr), Peter McKenzie (Jnr), Anthony Howe, Lea Howe, Steve Dodds, Paul Blakelock, Steve Keillor, Darren Stuart, Andrew Stuart, Jimmy Clarke, Aiden Clarke, Dean Jobling, Stuart Fox, Peter Darke and thanks to Darke Cycles for all their help on this project, Philip Rodgers, Steven Land, Yorkie Benton, Roland Seferi, Gordon Swindle, Shaun McFarlane & Danny McFarlane.

The Hillprint Media Racing Team are: Ian Smith, Richard Mortimer, Steve Donnelly, Ben Osborne, Phil Reynolds, Brian Johnson & Paul Forster-Jones

Last but not least (he's carrying the supplies) our Support Vehicle Driver- Kevin McFarlane.

We have riders with ages ranging from 28 - 60ish (he wouldn't say exactly) with abilities from considerably amateur to not so amateur, with only a few who ride regularly so this is a real challenge to most involved.

The ride stretches from Whitehaven on the west coast to Sunderland on the east and is 129 miles in total. All involved have been training hard and looking forward to the event for some time now. We are sure it will be an event to remember and a fitting tribute to a fantastic friend and loved family member.

N.B. All monies donated through this site will go directly to the Leukaemia Research Fund'. Anyone wishing to donate directly to Ward E55 can contact the person they are sponsoring to arrange this seperately.

We will keep you up-to-date as the time draws closer but for now I think that's it.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Leukaemia Research Fund will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

Many thanks again for your support.

Ian
