We are climbing Snowdon to raise money for the
Donor Family Network in Memory of John Carter, the best friend of one of our trainers Alan Stronach.
Those of us who are climbing Snowdon are not known for our "athletic prowess" so please give as much as you can to support us in this Mammoth climb and to help us raise money in John's memory.
In Alan's words...
"In September 2008, my best friend John Carter died of a brain tumour. John was 33 years old and had so much to live for. John was my best friend, best man and also Godfather one of my daughters. He was one of the nicest people you could meet and his popularity was apparent at his funeral when people had to stand outside of the church it was so full. There was also a piece in the Sunderland Echo about him - follow this link if you want to read more....

John did voluntary work with the Princes Trust, which involved him carrying out some work in the North East at Tweddle Farm, working alongside kids and really helping out. When John passed away some of his organs were donated to help save others, this was in line with his own wishes as he was very much about helping others even to the last.
The training team are organising many fundraising activities to be able to place a bench in his memory at Tweddle Farm to commemorate all the work he did there. We are also raising money for the Donor Family Network charity which helps families who have been left with the decision whether to donate the organs of a loved one. "
The money raised on this page will go directly to the Donor Family Network and will help the charity to continue to offer support for donors families.
