Story

Hello all.
I'm off to climb Mount Kilimanjaro (19,340ft) in June 2006 and have to raise a minimum of £2800 in sponsorship. I can keep receiving sponsorship right up to the date I'll be leaving for Tanzania, but the minimum is due in April. It is Africa's highest mountain and the highest freestanding mountain in the world with snow at it's peak all year round.

I picked this charity because I have a young niece with cerebral palsy and the money I raise will help her and those like her. Like so many children she deserves to live a full life - grow old, fall in love, and enjoy all the things we take for granted. Even if u can only donate £1 it will help so much. While a minimum of £2800 is needed for the first trek I will need at least a similar amount for each venture I take part in.

This is only one of the charity events I'll be involved in however. I am currently making applications to serve on the Mercy Ships - a fleet of hospital ships carrying surgeons and medical staff to serve those in need around the world.

I'm also applying to work in Africa on a project building houses for those in extreme poverty whilst raising sponsorship for those in need in Africa. This is a 'hands-on' project with me doing whatever is required - brick laying, digging foundations etc.
Furthermore, I am applying to join on a trek to the North Pole in 2007. This is on an entirely different scale and because of the cost I will need corporate sponsorship. Will your company be able to help me? I will be happy to wear your company's logos during all events and throughout my sponsorship collections. I will of course contact local press and have articles printed wearing your company's logo. I am organising a number of events over the next year to raise sponsorship, I am speaking to Reading council regarding organising events as part of the festivals that are running during the year. These will include concerts, Summer and Christmas balls, ceilidh, barn-dances, discos and I am looking at organising coach trips to popular events/places. I can organise company events including: laserquest, paintball, karting, parachuting, gliding, formal balls and dinner/dance. All profits will go to charity. On a smaller scale there will be collections and organising charity car boot sales for which I am appealing for articles to be donated I am going to be on a skydiving course run in America next Summer - Accelerated Free Fall, where the first (and subsequent) jumps are from 15,000 feet! Again, with company sponsorship I am prepared to display their logo and if the kit is included as part of the sponsorship deal, even have the company logo on the parachute for all to see wherever I jump from then on in skydive events in Europe, USA, Asia etc. I am an exterior painter, and a donation is being made to the appropriate charity from every job I undertake, to help boost the sponsorship for each trek/charity event I undertake over the coming years. Payments can be made directly here (see below), alternatively if u would like more information, or would like to donate by cheque - payable to 'SCOPE' email is: mostlyme@hotmail.com or call me: 07743603681. Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor me online.
