“Supporting Cancer Research UK is really important to me. Everybody knows somebody who has been affected by cancer. Over the last few years my mum, father-in-law, step-brother, aunt, grandfather and a close family friend have all been diagnosed with this terrible disease. All have bravely fought it or are still fighting it now. My mum is fighting cancer for the third time. Sadly my step-brother, grandfather and friend lost their battle with cancer. Additional research is critical to improve early detection, treatments, genetic testing for pre-disposition, prevention and cure. Please support us to help beat cancer.”

“Until recently cancer was something terrible that happened to other people. Then my mum was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and only now do I realise how devastating this disease can be for both the sufferer and their family and friends. Sadly, my mum’s cancer is terminal, but with improving treatments we hope she will still be with us for a while longer and with a good quality of life. This is only possible through research and I hope with further research this type of cancer, along with others, can eventually be prevented or cured. This is only possible with continued funding so please give generously to support us.”
