What a day!
Managed to get round in 4hrs 22 mins 22 secs
The support was out of this world and was a fantastic advert for London. My lasting memories will be the wall of noise over Tower Bridge, frequent shouts of "Go Tris" from complete strangers, high fiving endless rows of children along the course and taking people up on their offer of jelly babies, haribo and starburst over the last few miles. A truly unique experience (and probably never to be repeated!)

Update 09/04/2008
My last update before the marathon:
Since Christmas I have
- Ran 379 miles (longest run 20 miles)
- Shed 25 pounds (need to update that photo on my justgiving page…..)
- Raised £2020 - once again a massive thank you to everyone who has sponsored me!
I have now stopped running and started carbo loading ready for the big day next Sunday!

Update 12/3/08
Thanks for everybody's fantastic support. In fact the support has been so fantastic I have upped my target to £2500!
Have now completed 284 miles since Xmas and ran in the Ashby20 at the weekend which was a 20 mile road race. It was quite hilly so I am hoping that London will be a lot flatter. Came home in just over 3 hours so still a bit more work to do for the big day.

Well, here goes!! I am really excited to have been selected to run in BT's Golden Bond team in the Flora London Marathon (13th April 2008)
The Gold Bond place has been offered on the condition that I raise a minimum of £1800 for ChildLine, which of course I am more than happy to do as I am well aware what fantastic work they do.
I have ran several half marathons over the past 3 or 4 years but this will be my first full marathon where I reckon I will be trying to finish in under 4 hours.
