Well the running shoes are on!  My aim?  To complete my first Half Marathon and raise lots of money for that completely fantastic charity the British Hen Welfare Trust!  Look them up on http://www.bhwt.org.uk/

My own rescue hens are so gorgeous - they are funny, friendly & best of all their eggs taste like nothing on this earth!  Training is exhausting for someone like me - give me wine & telly instead any day - but how could I deny more lovely hens the chance of a life after a year of battery cage misery?  Thanks to the hard work & vision of the BHWT it's possible for the many battery hens that they rescue (nearly quarter of a million so far!) to lead rewarding, happy & free lives as pets in loving families.
