Story
Dear All,
Firstly, thank you muchly for visiting my fundraising page.
What am I doing?
As many of you know I am taking part in a month long educational project this summer teaching English in the south of A
Universities’ Trust for Educational Exchange with Palestinians) in conjunction with UNWRA (the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the
Near East) in schools in the the Bourj al-Shemali and Rashidiyeh refugee camps.
If you are interested in finding out more then do get in touch with me or have a look at the UNIPAL Website: http://www.unipal.org.uk/About_Unipal/about_unipal.html
What do I want from you?
A penny or two from your good selves would be wonderous. (If 50 of you were to give a pound I would be proud as punch)
What will I do with your money?
At the end of the project its customary for the group of volunteers (six in all)
to make a donation/gift to the school inwhich we have been most
involved to help them develop a project or buy equipment they are
lacking. We hope to raise about £250 between us... but if you are interested in a challenge we can try and surpass that!
Disclaimer: I have paid for my own project expenses (which UNIPAL subsidises) - you will not be contributing towards this.
This sounds marvellous - tell me about JustGiving:
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
