Fundraising for United Jewish Israel Appeal
Story
Hi & thanks for visiting my raising pages and hopefully donating to the causes again this year.
This what i wrote last year....

The ride itself is incredibly arduous and will make the Alpine stage of the Tour de France look like days out for cycling wimps. We will be riding throught the hills valleys and mountains of the north of Israel, in the mid day sun.
So please have in mind the magnitude of my discomfort when you make your donation!<<
All of the above remains true however since lasts years ride I have continued to cycle regularly and have got much fitter unfortunately the fact that the "fat boy at the back" as i am referred to has got fitter has been noticed and consequently the ride has also got harder...
HOT NEWS FOR 08.....
We are climbing Mount Hermon this year, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mount_Hermon. I think this takes us up to a height of about 2000m which is like climbing from sea level to above the ski resorts of the Alps. It should prove an interesting day.
We are also planning to climb Mount Meron, which at 1200m is a little less of a challenge but again we will be starting from sea level. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mount_Meron
So please have in mind the magnitude of my discomfort when you make your donation!
100% of your donation goes to the charity,I am paying for all the costs of the trip, none of the donated money will go towards this.
The charities I am raising money for however support subjects close to my heart. One based in the UK and one in Israel.
