As you all know, I'm currently undergoing a trek to Everest Base Camp where I will spend a challenging two months carrying out scientific research. We will endure temperatures well below freezing, acute altitude sickness and a distinct lack of basic amenities.

If all goes to plan I will also be running a marathon from Base Camp, down the mountain. It's the highest marathon in the world and probably the only one where you start to feel better the further you run.... hopefully!
