On the 17th August 2019, I will be taking part in a charity skydive with Penny Appeal, in aid of the people of Gaza in Palestine.

Palestinians living in Gaza have been subjected to some of the worst conflict and economic conditions in recent years. The blockade imposed on Gaza and the three assaults since 2018 have had a devastating impact. As a result, the rise in unemployment, low purchasing power, inflation and huge infrastructure damage have contributed to reducing the food security for families in Gaza. The majority of Palestinians in Gaza are classified as food insecure.

Whether or not you were aware, over 80% of Gaza’s population are dependent on international assistance and many families are still living in desperate poverty.

Your donations will go towards providing much needed supply of food to those families who are most vulnerable. One food pack costs just £50 and can provide a family with food for a whole month. If we can reach the very minimum £500 target, this will be enough to provide 10 families with food for an entire month. I am confident that with your love and support, we can exceed this target and really make a positive impact.

Before you part with your cash, just take a moment to put yourself in their position for a few seconds. How would you feel if you didn’t know where your next meal was going to come from? Take a moment to think about how those families will feel and react when they receive your contributions in person.
