I am trying to raise £1,500 to pay for a teacher's salary at the Spurgeons Academy in Kibera, Nairobi, Kenya.  The school provides education, healthcare and support for families.  It is situated next to a railway line, in the heart of the Kibera slum and provides an education for children, affected by AIDS.  Many of the children are orphans as a result of losing one or both parents through AIDS. 

The teachers in the school are amazing - many of them work up to 12 hours a day.  This enables the children to stay in school where they have a place to do their homework.  Thye work extremely hard and have a passion to help the children to have a start in life and aspirations for their future.
