We are the only charity fighting to end child abuse in the UK

Story

Yes, we're doing it again (and yes, we know we said last year that we wouldn't, but that was then and this is now).

So, just like last year (and the year before!), donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us - the NSPCC will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you. What this means is that even more money will be raised as a direct result of our stupidity...

Last year the crowds and the weather were FANTASTIC - special thanks go to Aude, Aline and Rebecca who came along to lend their support to the cause - much appreciated !!! Hopefully more of you will join us this year for a terrific day out in London.
So to the hardwork.....we have entered a few more training half marathons this year to help us get to full running fitness and it would be great to see anyone come along to these if you live in the vicinity....

10 February - Wokingham Half Marathon
A great morning running in the Berkshire countryside.Beat last year's weather but very cold....shame about the time.

2 March - Reading Half Marathon
Frank joined 17,000 other runners to get round the sights of Reading - crowds were out in numbers -much more than last year - but my weekend before in Dublin's fair city certainly caught up with me - miles 12 and 13 just seemed such a loooooooong way to go.Looking forward to Fleet now.

16 March - Fleet Half Marathon
Another one completed. The day out proved to be very wet  underfoot with the finish area a bit like a quagmire.Nevertheless Frank managed a time of 2hr 2min which, given the windy conditions, proved to be a good run on the day.

30 March - Kingston 16 mile Breakfast Run
The last one before the magic day on the 13 April.
Another great day for running but the early start time of 8.30am did not help many of the runners on the day  - having to be parked up before 7.30am to avoid the queues in Kingston gave good preparation in logistics for the London.
Large puddles underfoot saw some interesting splashes as people waded through the Thames footpath along to Hampton Court.Mile 15-16 was a largely uneventful slog but a good crowd at the finish ensured we were cheered onto the end.

Thank-you - and we hope to see as many of you as possible in London 13 April, cheering us on!
