"I slept and dreamt that life was joy.
I awoke and saw that life was service.
I acted and behold, service was joy."
-Rabindranath Tagore-
I have recently decided to take up the challenge of climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in July 2006 to raise money for the charity Sewa International.
Known as the Roof of Africa, and described by Hemingway as “As wide as all the world, great, high, and unbelievably white in the Sun,” Mount Kilimanjaro is the highest mountain in Africa and one of the largest freestanding mountains in the world. Climbing Kilimanjaro is a challenge to say the least and is one of the mountains almost every trekker and mountaineer in the world wants to conquer.
In order to undertake this challenge of a lifetime for, what I am sure you will agree is a great cause, I need to raise £3000.
The money raised will be used to fund sustainable development projects in East Africa, in particular those areas of Kenya and Tanzania recently affected by drought. These projects include education schemes for orphaned children, and reforestation to aid farming in the future.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh (Sewa international) will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
So please sponsor me now!
Many thanks for your support.
