Birds Without Feathers...

Hi,

Thanks for visiting our page.

If you know us, you are already aware of how bonkers we three are. If not then read on and you will soon realise...

First, a small introduction (left to right of photo):

Charlie - 19 years of age, small yet fiesty!

Vicki - 22 years of age, smaller and just as fiesty as Charlie!

Jennie - 23 years of age and totally nuts!!!!!

The idea of doing a Skydive was originally Jennie's and Charlie's. They wanted to do something MAD before it was too late (i.e. before they kicked the bucket or bottled it!) Vicki was roped into it because it was thought that she was an adrenaline junkie, as she had previously taken part in a bungee jump. She was very quick to tell Jennie and Charlie how wrong they were and that the bungee jump terrified her, let alone the sheer thought of jumping out of a plane!

But Vicki agreed to be a part of the adventure and together all three of us decided that crazy ideas like this always attract attention, and so we wanted to raise awareness and money for a charity.

We chose The Guide Dogs for the Blind Association as our charity for a variety of reasons:

1. We all love dogs.

2. Vicki's family trained Guide Dog puppies for years and followed the dogs' progress throughout their career.

3. We beleve that GDBA do a wonderful job in supporting blind and partially sighted people.

For more information please visit: http://www.guidedogs.org.uk

If you need more reasons to donate money for this event then just read what we'll be going through during our Skydive:

Once we have been securely fastened to the tandem instructor we will board the plane. The plane will climb to 10,000 feet where we will exit and free-fall. After speeds of 120 miles per hour the parachute will be deployed at 5000 feet and we begin a slow descent to earth.

If that isn't bad enough our insurance ensures us we will be covered for the following:

* Death

*The loss of 1 or 2 limbs

*The loss of sight in 1 or both eyes

*Permanent or temporary disablement

On the positive side, if we survive we would have done something totally amazing and raised some money for a good cause.

So please dig deep and donate now.
