Story
Hiya everyone!
Well, the game took place on April 6th and, yes, I managed the 90 minutes! The game didn't quite go as planned as the home side slumped to a dreadful 6-1 defeat despite (or maybe because of!) my best efforts! I was mere shoelaces away from a goal on a couple of occasions but, despite the result and the missed chances, playing at Tynecastle was an amazing experience! I would strongly recommend the Football Aid experience to anyone!
Of course, the real winner here is Cystic Fibrosis!
The reason behind the name of this page is very simple. The donations that I raise through this website will be donated to the Cystic Fibrosis Trust - a charity dedicated to finding a cure for Cystic Fibrosis. I personally have already paid £400 to Football Aid to make sure that donating all proceeds raised to CF is possible.
On January 9th 2003, my cousin Vicky Edmondston died after a battle with this life-threatening disease. She was 19. For that reason, Cystic Fibrosis is a charity which means a lot to me personally and I hope that we can raise a serious amount of money for CF in Vicky's memory.
Thank you so, so much to each and every one of you who have donated so far! The money raised has been absolutely phenomenal and exceeds all of my hopes and expectations!
Cheers,
William
