Story

Hey All!

So I'm running the 2009 London Marathon! "Why" I hear your cry! Well, one reason: for Breakthrough Breast Cancer.

Aside from the obvious reason for choosing a charity about breasts, Breakthrough is a cause very close to my heart.

In 1996 my best friend’s mum (Tricia Urwin) died of breast cancer aged just 35. Since then the Urwin family have been tirelessly campaigning and fundraising for Breakthrough.

I decided 18 months ago that I would do the London Marathon on behalf of the "Urwin Massive." I am not a runner, in fact when I started running I could only run from one lamp post to the next before needing a break! Sadly that is not an exaggeration. This will not only be a great personal achievement but my gift to Breakthrough and the Urwin family.

Breakthrough is a fantastic charity that will one day find the cure for breast cancer - the more you give, the sooner they can reach their goal! So please dig deep and give generously!

Loads of love
