Story
Hi Guy's!
As a few of you will know I'm off on an adventure of a life time in January! I will be travelling around the world on my own, first stop being Tanzania!
In Tanzania I will be working at a baby hospice called Forever Angels. The hospice is a wonderful place ran by Amy and Ben Hathaway, a British couple who had a dream of caring for abandoned children in Africa. The hospice opened in 2006 and now looks after around 50 infants aged 0-5 who have no-one else to care for them.
Many of the children have been orphaned by the HIV epidemic in Africa, have illnesses and disabilities themselves and require not only medical care but love support and security.
Amy recently put out an appeal that really touched me! To raise money for babies that have Hydocephalus – fluid on the brain. There were 27 babies that required a life saving operation in the local Tanzanian hospital, the operation costs, wait for it………………..£125! £125 to save a life! The longer the babies are left with fluid on the brain the more chance of brain damage, loss of sight and hearing – eventually it will lead to death.
So my aim is to raises as much money as possible for this wonderful cause as well as raising its profile amongst my friends and going out to lend a hand!
Please be absolutely assured all of the money you donate will go directly to the hospice and the babies it cares for – I am paying all flight and accommodation costs out of my own pocket.
Thank you so much for reading about the charity – and dig deep folks!
Lots of Love
