They say 'never say never again' but it's very tempting right now! I'm walking around like a 90-year-old man but it's worth it, the marathon is one of the best things you can ever do.
As with last time I hit The Wall on the Isle of Dogs (about 17 miles) but the crowd were amazing and I walked/jogged back into contention. Actually, I think a toffee offered by a boy in Poplar did the trick. Always accept sweets from strange children, that's my advice!
I finished behind Paula and Batman but ahead of Captain Caveman and a Stegosaurus - a distinctly average 4h35'39" places me 18,735 out of 35,000.
I'm sure Mum was with me and she'll be very pleased with this great amount we've raised. I'm very lucky to have such wonderful relatives and friends - thank-you.
