Story

In memory of Martin Morgan...    Er cof am Martin Morgan...

Latest news - The team successfully completed the challenge on Thursday.  It was a gruelling journey after battling hard against the elements and sleep deprivation.  It was great to see Esther and Rhys with friends and family at the foot of Snowdon as they joined us on the final ascent.  Thanks for all your support, diolch am bob cefnogaeth!

Special thanks to our sponsors - Wavehill Consulting, Gwesty'r Harbourmaster, Ty Nant, Princes Gate Spring Water, Morrisons, Penrhyncoch Garage.

A team of staff from the Welsh Assembly Government in Aberystwyth and Newtown are aiming to complete the Three Peaks Challenge.  The Challenge will involve climbing the three highest peaks in Scotland, England and Wales within a 24 hour period.  The Challenge will commence when we start our ascent of Ben Nevis and will end when we complete our descent of Snowdon.  The Three Peaks are Ben Nevis (Highest Mountain in the British Isles – 1,344 metres), Scafell Pike (Highest Mountain in England – 978 metres) and Snowdon (Highest Mountain in Wales – 1,085 metres).  In total, the distance climbed is 26 miles.

Mae criw o staff Llywodraeth Cynulliad Cymru yn Aberystwyth a'r Drenewydd yn anelu i gwblhau Her Y Tri Chopa.  Mae'r her yn cynnwys dringo'r tri mynydd uchaf yn Yr Alban, Lloegr a Chymru o fewn cyfnod o 24 awr.  Bydd yr her yn dechrau wrth i ni ddringo Ben Nevis ac yn gorffen wrth droed Yr Wyddfa.  Y tri chopa yw Ben Nevis (Mynydd Uchaf Prydain - 1,344 metr), Scafell Pike (Mynydd Uchaf Lloegr - 978 metr) a'r Wyddfa (Mynydd Uchaf Cymru - 1,085 metr).  Bydd yn daith o 26 milltir.

The Challenge is in memory of Martin Morgan, a colleague and a close friend to us all.  The Challenge will require commitment, dedication, competitive spirit and humour from all participants – characteristics Martin had in abundance.  Monies raised will go towards Wales Air Ambulance, the charity chosen by Martin’s family.

Mae'r her er cof am Martin Morgan, cyd-weithiwr a chyfaill agos i ni gyd.  Bydd yr her yn gofyn am ymrwymiad, ymroddiad, ysbryd gystadleuol a hiwmor wrth y rhai sydd yn cymeryd rhan - nodweddion amlwg yng nghymeriad Martin.  Bydd yr elw yn mynd tuag at Ambiwlans Awyr Cymru, yr elusen a ddewisiwyd gan deulu Martin.

There is an open invite for anyone to join us on the final climb up Snowdon.  We will arrange for you to meet the 3 Peakers at the foot of Snowdon at around 12.30pm on Thursday 12th August and climb together for the final leg of the challenge.

Mae gwahoddiad i chi ymuno a ni i ddringo Yr Wyddfa.  Byddwn yn trefnu i chi gwrdd a'r criw wrth droed y mynydd am tua 12.30yp ar Ddydd Iau 12fed o Awst a dringo'r rhan olaf o'r daith gyda'n gilydd.

Thank you for your support.

Diolch am y gefnogaeth.
