Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page. Any donations are totally secure just don't forget to tick for Gift Aid if you're a UK taxpayer-that way Mr Brown will give a little more to Sands!
Our beloved daughter, Hope, was stillborn on 12 August 2008 at 40 weeks. In honour of her upcoming anniversary, we decided to make a difference and raise some money for Sands, the stillbirth and neonatal death charity. Sands are working hard to promote research to reduce the loss of babies' lives and provide support to those in need. We, personally, found their website a mine of information when coming to terms with Hope's death (including essential information regarding dealing with the legal side of things) and firmly believe in their stance to improve healthcare and prenatal checks to minimise stillbirth rates in the UK. You can find out more about Sands online at www.uk-sands.org
When we decided to have a go at fundraising, we started to talk about our plans and have been overwhelmed by the generous offers of support from friends and colleagues (who have been amazing and really helped us through our difficult times). Several of our friends, colleagues and family members have pledged to join us in our "quest" both walking and fundraising. As planning has progressed, a fun theme has emerged and the walk will now see various pink items and outfits on show.
This page represents the whole group. We will update the team list as it continues to grow.
HUGE thanks for your much appreciated support. xXx
