Nicholas was a gorgeous little boy with sparkling brown eyes and lovely smile. He smiled a lot and liked biscuits and balloons. His favourite television programs were In The Night Garden and Waybuloo. He loved his Finding Nemo toy. Unfortunately in January he passed away, aged nine months and is missed greatly by all his little friends and their Mummies and Daddies. The poem below was written for Nicholas by his grandfather and explains what he means to us:

 

Nicholas
 
Nicholas oh Nicholas,
Our beautiful boy, You entered our lives and gave us such joy, You were with us nine months
And now that you’re gone, We don’t know how we will carry on

Nico oh Nico
Your mummy and papa loved you so much, your laughter so happy your skin soft to touch,
sometime in the future our life will go on but you’ll stay in our hearts, you’re not really gone.

 

Oh mummy oh papa
I loved you so much, the feel of your cuddles, the sound of your voice
You made me feel happy you made me feel safe, the world with you was a wonderful place

Oh Aunties and Uncles
Grandparents and cousins Friends and relations, Dozens and dozens
Please help my mummy and papa too, To face the future and in time come through

You gave us so much, the sound of your laughter the joy of your touch
now missing you so deeply as you look down from above you have taught us quite clearly the true meaning of love

 

 

We will never forget Nicholas. As a group we want to raise money for fsid in his memory and to let Nicholas' English Mummy and Argentinian Daddy know that he and they are always in our thoughts.

On Saturday 15th May we are going to Walk a Mile in his memory. Some of our babies are cruising and even walking now and they are going to join in the walk, pushing baby walkers, for as far as they can manage. We hope it's going to be a good day.
