We are on call 24/7, 365 days a year to provide mountain search and rescue.

Story

Update: 4th July 2011... We did it!!!!!!!! A brilliant time of 15.50 hrs from the peak of Crib Goch to the summit of Foel Fras, a wonderful mountain day was had by all. Thank you everyone for your kind support and donations, mountain rescue will be very, very pleased Im sure :)

Update: 25th June 2011... This time next week we'll be heading up Elidir Fawr, please make it worth our while by sponsoring us :)

On 2nd July 2011, 7 foolish folk are setting out to complete one of UK's best 24 hour challenges... Welsh 15 Peaks!!! They're doing it to raise much needed funds for the brilliant gals and guys in the nation's mountain rescue teams...

The team of intrepid hill walkers comprises:

Welsh 15 Peaks challenge, also known as the Welsh 3,000's, involves walking  all 15 Welsh peaks over 3,000 ft in 24 hours... that’s 48km with over 4,000m of ascent. The summits are Crib Goch, Garnedd Ugain, Snowdon, Elidir Fawr, Yr Garn, Glyder Fawr, Glyder Fach, Tryfan, Pen yr Ole Wen, Carnedd Dafydd, Carnedd Llewelyn, Yr Elen, Foel Goch, Carnedd Uchaf/Gwenllian and Foel Fras

About the charity

Mountain rescue team members are on call every day, of every month, of every year. Whatever the time, day or night. Whatever the weather. They do it voluntarily. They do it without question. At no cost to the casualty. And it's thanks to your generosity, they can continue saving lives. So thank you.
