Story

This event is in memory of my dear brothers Mark, Dennis John, and Paul Canavan. Paul, my youngest brother died of skin cancer in April 1989, aged 16. Dennis John, died in December 2006, aged 35 after being diagnosed with a malignant brain tumour in August 2006.  Mark, my eldest brother, died in March 2007 aged 41 after a courageous three year battle with Motor Neurone Disease.

I will be walking, with other family members and friends, the West Highland Way starting on Saturday 4th August from Milngavie and finishing up the following Saturday 11th August in  Fort William. Everyone is welcome on this walk at any time, even if only for a day. Please email me at rsalister@aol.com if you are interested in joining us.

This event is equally in aid of The Scottish Motor Neurone Disease Association and Cancer Research . The Cancer Research online sponsorship page is at http://www.justgiving.com/walktheway2

The Scottish Motor Neurone Disease Association is the only charity in who provide care and information to people living with MND, and also fund research into the condition in the hope of finding a cure. They rely almost entirely on voluntary funding. Please visit www.scotmnd.org.uk for more information.

Thank you for your support.
