Warning Zone Parachute Jump · 3 March 2010

We are a life-skills centre & safeguarding charity in Leicester, educating young people and vulnerable adults. We aim to reduce the risk of injury, death, and online coercion, and also reduce the strain on our emergency services. Using interactive zones mean our messages are impactful & memorable.

Story

BINNEY SAYS, “WHO NEEDS A PARACHUTE?

On the 3rd March 2010 @ midday I jumped out of a plane at 12,500 ft without a parachute, although the person I was strapped to, Steve did have one on! Free-falling for 45 seconds was amazing. My suggestion to anyone that has ever considered a sky dive is just do it!

Who would give money to see me jump out of an aircraft without a parachute on my back?  Well this is your chance!

Well ok, the man who will be strapped to my back will have a parachute strapped to his back (I expect) but now I’ve got your attention, what about your money?

On Wednesday 3rd March, I and a group of others including Chris Eyre, the Chief Constable, will be making a sponsored skydive over Langar airfield to raise funds for Warning Zone.

And you can help!  I’ll do the scary stuff if you do the easy bit and sponsor me.  How much is entirely dependant upon how badly you want me to see me plummeting earthwards with a “why am I doing this?” expression on my face, (yes, there will be photographs).

*Please note that jumping out of planes is dependant on the weather being suitable.  Should the 3rd March not be suitable then the jump will definitely be re-arranged to take place on another day.   I don’t get out of it that easily!
The cost of the jump will be met by each individual. It will not be taken from any money raised.
