We are running to show our support to the mother of one of our former members who has been diagnosed with ovarian cancer. Therefore we have decided to raise money for Ovarian Cancer Action, a charity that provides support to women who have been diagnosed with ovarian cancer, attempts to raise awareness, and conducts research into the disease.

As a group we are a mixed bunch running-wise and for many of us this is the first time we have done any serious running, let alone run the 13.1 miles of a half marathon.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. Ovarian Cancer Action will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor us now!

Many thanks for your support.

Ovarian cancer is the biggest gynaecological killer in the UK claiming the life of a woman every 2 hours. Many women still do not know the symptoms leading to late diagnosis. We are determined to drive up survival rates by funding world-class research into causes, treatments and prevention.
